American Salars Starts Sampling at 100% Owned Brazilian LCT Pegmatite Project, with Past Samples Hitting 3.72% Li2o and Significant Ree Values
American Salars Lithium Inc. has commenced a Phase 2 sampling program on its Jaguaribe Project in Brazil, focusing on lithium and rare earth element (REE) discoveries. The project has shown promising initial Phase 1 sample discoveries of up to 3.72% Li2O, 2.15% Li2O and 1.58% Li2O as well as 554.5 ppm of Cesium, 135 ppm of Tantalum, 177 ppm of Niobium. The new phase aims to identify and sample additional pegmatites to delineate the scale and quality of the mineral-rich region.
The Jaguaribe Project, located in the Jaguaribe/Solonópole region in the State of Ceará, hosts multiple extensive Lithium and REE bearing pegmatite dykes. The initial exploration program revealed pegmatite dykes measuring up to 30 meters in width and 300 meters in length. American Salars has secured field crews and geological consultants to map new pegmatite outcrops and sample new areas of mineralization, with plans for a follow-up drilling program.
The Jaguaribe Property covers historic artisanal mining sites and has returned Spodumene bearing pegmatite samples that graded up to 3.72% Li2O as well as Rare Earth Elements. Phase 2 sampling will test multiple additional LCT Pegmatite targets.
A multi-element analysis of pegmatites sampled across the Jaguaribe Project revealed Lithium, Rubidium, Tantalum, and Niobium. Pegmatite VM-EJ-01 showed anomalous values of Cesium and Tantalum, accompanied by Niobium and high values for Rubidium, Tin, and Zinc.
American Salars Lithium is focused on exploring and developing high-value battery metals projects.
